White Tie (or Full Dress) This is the height of formality and all guests must attend in the correct attire
 

Black Tie Required Black Tie must be worn; no exceptions! Check with the host whether Creative Black Tie is accepted
 

Black Tie Black Tie stated on its own usually means the host expects guests to dress in at least Creative Black Tie. Check with the host whether Classic Black Tie is desired
 
 

Formal The word FORMAL stated on its own usually refers to Creative Black Tie dress standard
 

Black Tie Optional Formal dress is not mandatory, however the majority of guests will be in at least Creative Black Tie
 
 

Semi-Formal Guests are required to wear a lounge suit, vest, shirt and satin long tie
 

Lounge Guests are required to wear a lounge suit, vest, shirt and tie
